There are many private organizations in India legally not affiliated to Ramakrishna Order which are being run by groups of devotees in similar lines with Ramakrishna Math and Mission. Inspired by the holy trio, Sri Surendra D. Prabhu, an ardent bachelor devotee offered the first floor of his residence to initiate such a center at Madgao in Goa. Ramakrishna Vivekananda seva samiti was formed and formally inaugurated on 25th April 1996 by the most revered Swami Gahananandaji Maharaj, President, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission at the following address : 1139, Vidyanagar, Margao, Goa – 403601 on the first floor of a building belonging to Sri Surendra D. Prabhu, a devotee. Later two more devotees viz, Sri Sandeep Sardesai and sri Upendra Gaunecar joined the leadership and the Samiti progressed further. In 2006, the samiti acquired a land of six acres at the following address: Ramakrishna seva samiti, parsol, 2 kms. after Khandepar bridge, inside from Khursikade bus stand. It is 7 kms. from ponda bus stand. Since then, it is operating from this place. The present office bearers of the samiti are:

The main objective of the Samiti is to practice, promote and propagate the teachings of Ramakrishna, Sri Sarada Devi and Swami Vivekananda. The Samiti's activities is to inspire, motivate, develop character and instill a sense of nationalism amongst our youth. The Samiti also conducts various competitions, youth camps and workshops for all round development of our youth.
